TIRANA, April 12/ATA/-The ambassador of Germany in Tirana Susanne Schütz called on all the parties to take the opportunity and take part in the local elections of June 30.
Ambassador Schütz and CEO of Albanian Helsinki Committee Erida Skëndaj agreed today to cooperate on monitoring process of the elections.
The German government supports the Albanian Helsinki Committee with funds in context of the “Stability Pact for Southeast Europe”.
On occasion of signing of the subvention contract at the German Embassy, Ambassador Schütz stated that, “The free, fair elections of secret ballot are the basis of every healthy democracy. It is of substantial importance that the electors have confidence in the regular development of the electoral process”.
