TIRANA, Oct 23 /ATA/ Justice Minister Toni Gogu said that the digitalisation of bailiff services aims to make it easier for citizens to access the enforcement of court decisions and reduce time spent waiting at service counters.
In a social media post, Gogu highlighted the importance of enforcement services in ensuring that court rulings are implemented.
“Winning a case in court is one step. Ensuring that the ruling is enforced is another,” Gogu said.
Minister Gogu stressed that bailiff services ensure that obligations are fulfilled and rights recognised by the courts do not remain merely on paper.
According to published data, 195 cases have been handled across 22 local bailiff offices, including cases that have been enforced, discontinued, settled through legal procedures or transferred. A further 385 new cases have been registered to initiate proceedings for the enforcement of court decisions.
As part of the digital services initiative, 299 certificates have been issued online through the e-Albania platform, of which 284 relate to bailiff obligations and 15 to child maintenance.
“Justice must not only be fair in its rulings, but also swift and straightforward in their enforcement,” Gogu stressed.
