TIRANA, April 10/ATA/ – Reform in Public Administration is very important for Albania’s path towards the European Union integration, the European Union Ambassador to Albania, Luigi Soreca stated during the today’s meeting of the Special Group on Reform in Public Administration EU-Albania,in Tirana.
In his speech, the Ambassador Soreca emphasized that, “Albania will some day become a EU member and the public administration reform is absolutely necessary, which should function effectively. This can not be done without achieving the necessary standard of public administration, which requires reforms in many areas of policy and administration and without a well functioning local government. This will lead Albania to the EU.”
“The country has adopted important laws, organic budget law, civil servants law, code of ethics law etc. Now we have started to feel the impact of these reforms and it is time to continue in this direction, “Soreca said.
