TIRANA, March 21/ATA/-The Chairman of the Democratic Party (DP) in opposition Lulzim Basha stated today that the DP enjoys the support of the European People’s Party (EPP) in its cause for European values.
Basha quoted EPP President Joseph Daul saying that, “We cannot make a compromise with democracy, the rule of law and media freedom”.
He added that, “The DP is fighting for the same European values in Albania and in this battle we have the support of the EPP, our political family”.
Basha made the statement while in Brussels where he attended meeting of the Political Assembly of the EPP./a.g/p.s./
