TIRANA, June 22 /ATA/- Prime Minister Edi Rama said Friday that the Albanian economy has reached a turning point and there is a persistent tendency for growth.
“It is a long turn and there are people who have yet to feel the change in their own families, but the statistics show a steady growth in employment and fall in unemployment rate. The unemployment rate fell for first time to 12.5 percent in the first quarter of 2018, down by 6 percent compared to 2013 when we assumed office,” Rama explained.
The government head said that the lack of vocational education system was to blame for a very high unemployment rate in Albania over years.
“Today Albanian economy has reached a turning point. Whether they (the opposition) like it or not, the turning point in economy has started,” PM Rama stated.
