TIRANA, June 22 / ATA /- The Albanian Minister of Infrastructure and Energy, Damian Gjiknuri and the Minister of Finance and Economy, Arben Ahmetaj held Friday a meeting with representatives of the Kukës Region.
During the meeting they presented the negotiated package with the concession company for the Milot-Morinë road toll scheme for Kukës residents, public transport vehicles and frequent users.
In attendance at the meeting were also, representatives from Kukës district, Deputy mayors of Kukës and Tropoja municipality and Has Mayor, representatives of municipal councils of these three municipalities and representatives of businesses and transportation lines of Kukës.
The inter-ministerial group which has negotiated with the concession company based on these requests of interest groups and budget spaces have decided to implement the toll on Milot-Morinë road axis from 17 September 2018.
Also, the Albanian government is making major investment in the road construction, in view of the completion of the project for the highway Kukës-Morinë. //a.i/
