TIRANA, April 21/ATA/-Property tax is not new, but it was levied since taxes were introduced in Albania and is collected by the town halls, said Prime Minister Edi Rama during a meeting with citizens in Lushnje.
He explained that the government intervenes in order not to allow any uncontrolled increase of the tax that can be a burden on the people.
The prime minister added that the property tax is the least collected all over Albania while in all the municipalities of the world the property tax is the main revenue.
PM Rama turned down claims of a tax property increase adding that the only thing that has changed is the way it is calculated based on the value of the property./a.gegvataj/p.s./
