Tax revenues rise 11.2% year-on-year to 40.1 billion leks in October

TIRANA, Nov 3 /ATA/ – Albania’s net tax revenues rose 11.2% year-on-year to 40.1 billion leks in October 2026, exceeding the monthly target by 0.6%, the Tax Administration said on Tuesday.

Revenues increased by 4 billion leks compared with October 2025, while surpassing the planned target by 200 million leks, according to the administration’s data.

The increase came despite a decline in trade volumes amid protests, which affected the country’s commercial activity during the month.

The Tax Administration attributed the performance to continued taxpayer compliance and improved relations of trust between taxpayers and the administration, supported by an approach focused on voluntary compliance and accountability.

October revenues exceeded both the monthly target and the level recorded in the same month last year, the data showed.
