TIRANA, Nov. 1 /ATA/ – “Pasqyrë Albania” (Albania Mirror), a new government digital platform aimed at increasing transparency and strengthening public trust in state institutions, is ready to launch with its full range of services.
Designed in response to public protests in early June, the platform seeks to reshape relations between citizens and public administration by providing a single digital gateway through which users can monitor public investment projects, access local government decisions, track applications and complaints, and contribute to the development of public initiatives.
Prime Minister Edi Rama presented the platform’s configuration and features on Sunday alongside two experts from the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI).
“We are here with the outstanding team at AKSHI, which has developed another extremely important project for us. It emerged from our reflections following the major public demonstrations in early June and was announced as a significant step forward in relations between citizens and the state, and vice versa,” Rama said.
The government head described the platform as a response to what he called a key weakness in those relations: citizens’ complaints and requests getting lost in the maze of bureaucracy.
“Alongside addressing this issue, Pasqyrë Albania brings together a range of other features that transform how citizens see and interact with the state, all accessible with a single click through one digital gateway. Intensive work has gone into the project, and we now have the result, which will soon be made available to the public,” he said.
The platform is built around four main pillars. Citizens will be able to monitor public investments and the progress of projects in their areas; access decisions taken by municipalities and municipal councils; track the status of applications, public services and complaints in real time, including the various stages of their handling by the relevant institutions; and submit feedback on draft legislation and other measures undergoing public consultation.
A dedicated section, called “Flamingo Mirror” (Pasqyra e Flamingos), will focus on major projects and issues of significant public interest, providing transparent information in response to claims and disinformation.
