TIRANA, Nov. 1 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Sunday presented “Pasqyrë Albania”, a new digital platform aimed at increasing transparency and strengthening public trust in state institutions, saying it would give citizens greater control over their requests and make public bodies more accountable.
During the presentation, Saimir Kapllani, an expert at the National Agency for Information Society (AKSHI), said each complaint would receive a unique identification code and could be tracked through the platform in coordination with the government’s co-governance system.
Citizens will be able to follow the status of their complaints and monitor each stage of their handling, from information gathering and review to approval and the final response, he said. Complaints involving multiple institutions will also be traceable across all agencies concerned.
“Citizens will be able to see the status of their complaints within each institution until a final response is issued. The same applies to public services. Through e-Albania, users will be able to track every stage of an application and identify where a service may have stalled,” Kapllani said.
Rama described the system as a tool to tackle bureaucracy and administrative delays, saying it would empower citizens while making institutions more accountable for their response times.
“This is the tool that technology gives us to address people’s longstanding frustration with the administration – its arrogance and failure to respond. It empowers citizens by allowing them to track their complaints and requests, while putting the administration under pressure whenever it fails to respond on time or allows a request to get lost in the ocean of bureaucracy,” Rama said.
