TIRANA, October 21 /ATSH/ – After gathering for about two hours outside the Prime Minister’s Office, the students and teachers marched up “Martyrs of the Nation” boulevard toward the Ministry of Education.
They protested peacefully in front of the Ministry and there have been no reports of stones or pyrotechnic devices being thrown.
Police blocked traffic on Durrës street and a police cordon was established in front of the Ministry of Education.
Following a peaceful two-hour protest in front of the Ministry of Education, the students, lecturers, and other young protesters continued their march along Durrës street.
They headed again toward the boulevard in the direction of the Prime Minister’s Office.
Students and lecturers have rejected Prime Minister Edi Rama’s invitation for dialogue, demanding his resignation instead. /k.s/p.s./
