TIRANA, Oct. 9 /ATA/ – The Albanian capital city of Tirana will host the 11th edition of the Golden Age Gym Festival from Oct. 1 to 7, 2028, with more than 2,000 participants expected from across Europe.
The Albanian National Olympic Committee (KOKSH) announced that the selection of Tirana was unanimously approved by the festival’s executive board, which recognised Albania’s bid and organisational capacity.
The event will be organised at the initiative of the Albanian Gymnastics Federation, with support from KOKSH.
KOKSH President Fidel Ylli presented the vision for hosting the festival and highlighted Albania’s potential to stage an event of this scale. The presentation showcased the country’s natural beauty, hospitality, infrastructure and facilities for participants, alongside a promotional video about Albania.
The Golden Age Gym Festival 2028 aims to go beyond sport, offering an opportunity to promote Albania, its culture and traditions internationally while strengthening connections between people through sport.
