TIRANA, Oct. 9 /ATA/ – Registrations of businesses wholly owned by foreign investors in Albania rose by 35.2% in the first eight months of 2026, reflecting increased activity among foreign-owned enterprises.
According to data published by the National Business Center (QKB), 1,644 wholly foreign-owned businesses were registered between January and August, up from 1,216 in the same period of 2025.
The increase of 428 registrations year-on-year points to an expansion in the number of fully foreign-owned entities registered with the centre.
The figures indicate positive momentum in this segment of the business sector, with registrations serving as an indicator of business activity and interest in operating in Albania.
However, the data refer to new registrations and do not necessarily reflect the number of investments actually carried out or the value of capital invested in the country.
