Hague Verdict prompts “Not in My Name” Protest in Berlin

PRISTINA, Oct 4 /ATA/ A protest under the slogan “Not in My Name” is set to take place in Berlin today, October 4, outside the German Parliament, in opposition to the convictions handed down by the Special Court against former KLA leaders.

The protest is scheduled to begin at 12:00 p.m. outside the Reichstag building at Platz der Republik 1, according to the organisers.

The diaspora also held a protest in Munich, Germany, on Saturday.

Meanwhile, the 19th protest in Pristina is scheduled to continue today at Skënderbeu Square from 7 p.m. The “Not in My Name” protest is also calling on the Kosovo Assembly to approve the draft law amending the Law on Specialist Chambers.

On September 16, the Kosovo Specialist Chambers in The Hague handed down first-instance prison sentences totalling 81 years to Hashim Thaçi, Jakup Krasniqi, Kadri Veseli and Rexhep Selimi.
