PRISTINA, Sept 17 /ATA/ On Thursday at midday, Kosovar students marched from the National Library to Skanderbeg Square to protest against the Hague Specialist Chambers’ decision sentencing four former KLA leaders.
Student representative Ilir Cani urged demonstrators to keep the rally peaceful and appealed to young people not to resort to unrest.
Cani said the event was organised in support of the former KLA leaders and was prompted, he added, by what he described as the unjust decision handed down against them a day earlier in The Hague.
From the National Library to Skanderbeg Square, the students chanted in support of the KLA and called out the names of the four leaders — Hashim Thaçi, Kadri Veseli, Jakup Krasniqi and Rexhep Selimi.
From time to time, the students sang songs with patriotic themes. A small group of citizens also joined them in the protest. /Kosovapress/sm/
