TIRANA, Sept. 6 /ATA/ – More than 27,000 visitors toured Rozafa Castle in the northern Albania city of Shkodra in August, marking an 11% increase from the same month last year, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Sunday.
“During August alone, 27,143 visitors climbed the castle’s cobbled paths to discover its history, legend and panoramic views, marking an 11% increase compared with the same period a year earlier,” Rama said in a social media post.
The figures highlight growing interest in Albania’s historical and cultural heritage, he said.
Perched on a hill overlooking Shkodra, Rozafa Castle is one of Albania’s most visited historical monuments and is closely associated with the city’s history, legends and cultural identity.
