TIRANA, Aug. 31 /ATA/ – A dedicated online portal for businesses applying for loans under the government’s “Double Your Business” programme will be launched next week, Economy and Innovation Minister Delina Ibrahimaj said on Monday.
The portal will be linked to the e-Albania government services platform and will help businesses prepare loan application documents and track the progress of their applications in real time, Ibrahimaj said.
“The portal will assist businesses in preparing the documentation for loan applications. It will be linked to e-Albania and will provide an overview of the application process, allowing businesses to see at any time what stage their application has reached,” she said.
Ibrahimaj said the Ministry of Economy and Innovation was working with banks and the Albanian Association of Banks to make the scheme as simple and accessible as possible for businesses seeking to invest and expand.
Under the programme, businesses in all sectors will be eligible for loans at interest rates of 2% to 3%, with repayment terms of up to 10 years and a maximum loan value of 2 million euros, she said.
The Economy and Innovation Ministry will also provide assistance throughout the application process, including support in preparing business plans, Ibrahimaj said.
The “Double Your Business” programme aims to provide financing and practical support to businesses to help turn investment plans into projects and promote business growth, she said.
