TIRANA, Aug 26 /ATA/ – Albania’s 2026–27 academic year will begin on October 5 and run until September 24, 2027, with universities preparing to welcome students back to classrooms and laboratories.
Education Minister Mirela Kumbaro on Wednesday said some public universities would begin the new academic year with newly built and modernized facilities for teaching and research.
She said investment in university infrastructure aimed to provide better conditions for students and academic staff, while supporting education, research and the development of university capacities.
The projects include upgrades to university infrastructure and facilities, with the aim of creating a more functional academic environment and supporting the internationalization of higher education.
