TIRANA, Aug. 25 /ATA/ – The development of agritourism is creating new family-run businesses in Albania’s tourist areas, Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Tuesday, highlighting a guesthouse in the southeastern town of Pogradec.
Rama shared photos of SIAR Guesthouse, describing it as an example of an enterprise contributing to the country’s tourism development.
The guesthouse offers nine private wooden cabins, leisure facilities and local products, and aims to accommodate visitors year-round.
Rama said SIAR Guesthouse, supported by the Agency for Agricultural and Rural Development (AZHBR) through the EU-funded IPARD programme, was “another fine example” of the development of agrotourism and Albania as a tourist destination.
