Dobërdol Mountains, among the most attractive Alpine destinations

TIRANA, Aug 13 /ATA/ Mountain tourism is attracting an increasing number of local and foreign visitors, including to areas that were once off the beaten track.

Prime Minister Edi Rama today shared footage on social media from the Dobërdol Mountains in Tropojë, which are attracting growing interest from nature enthusiasts each year.

The Dobërdol Mountains lie at an altitude of 2,200 metres above sea level, in the upper part of the Gashi Valley.

Several glacial lakes are located in the upper valley, the largest of which is Dash Lake, one of the largest glacial lakes in the Albanian Alps.

Set in a typical Alpine landscape, the Dobërdol area offers a combination of vast meadows, mountain pastures, water springs and rugged panoramic views.
