Kolonja farmers form agricultural cooperative society to boost local economy, says Salla

TIRANA, August 4 /ATA/ Formed to support key local crops, the agricultural cooperative society unites Kolonja’s farmers for joint production, processing, and sales. By joining this cooperative, farmers strengthen their market presence and receive top-priority, 100% financial backing from the National Scheme’s grants.

Kolonja Mayor Erion Isai called it a great chance to build up the local economy and said a future project also plans to open the old collection point in Erseka.

During a meeting in Kolonja, there was also talked about the “Double Your Entrepreneurship” plan. This plan helps farmers and business owners grow their work, process more goods, and make local food stronger.

Minister of Agriculture Andis Salla said more farmers want to join the agricultural cooperative societies and the ministry is helping towns build cooperation models and funding plans.

This support uses the Albanian Development Fund, national plans, IPARD funds, and the “Double Your Entrepreneurship” program to help farm businesses grow and process more food. /a.f/r.e/p.s./
