TIRANA, July 21 /ATA/- By Maela Marini/ Prime Minister Edi Rama said unplanned construction and development could harm tourism in Theth.
“If we had not intervened and quickly healed that wound right in the heart of Theth, which damaged the area’s image, the number of people interested in visiting Theth would have declined. Tourists come to the meadow and spend hours there because it is magical. You need to focus on entrepreneurship and work together to build the product. Your product is Theth,” Rama said.
Rama referred to the reaction of residents in Corsica, who have opposed allowing uncontrolled construction.
“Corsicans understand this very well. They sell Corsica, they do not simply sell their own hotel. If Corsica becomes chaotic, no one will come to their hotel,” Rama said.
Addressing Theth residents, Rama said they had the opportunity to develop luxury tourism in the area.
“You have a small Switzerland right here, entirely in your hands. You have the opportunity to transform this place into a luxury tourism destination,” Rama said.
