TIRANA, July 17 /ATA/ The Chair of Albania’s Permanent Delegation to the NATO Parliamentary Assembly, Igli Hasani, visited Ottawa, Canada, from 13 to 15 July as part of an event organised by the NATO Parliamentary Assembly in cooperation with the Canadian Parliament.
During the visit, Hasani held meetings with Canadian lawmakers, government representatives, and security experts, where discussions focused on the latest developments in the Euro-Atlantic region, support for Ukraine, hybrid and cyber threats, as well as the strategic importance of the Arctic region for the Alliance’s security.
According to the statement, the visit aimed to strengthen interparliamentary cooperation among allied countries and coordinate positions on NATO’s key priorities.
It also reaffirmed Albania’s commitment to supporting security and stability in the Euro-Atlantic area, in line with the Alliance’s obligations and strategic priorities.
