New Saranda welcome centre to improve services for tourists

TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/ – A new passenger and tourist reception centre has been opened at the Port of Saranda, designed to improve visitor services and ease traffic flow in the popular coastal city.

Prime Minister Edi Rama shared footage of the newly built “Saranda Welcome Center” on Thursday, saying the facility would provide modern infrastructure for both residents and tourists.

The centre includes parking areas, dedicated spaces for tourist buses, taxi stands, bicycle parking, charging points, ticket offices, visitor information services, as well as hospitality facilities such as a bar and restaurant.

Rama said the investment would serve as a modern gateway to Saranda, improving the overall experience for visitors arriving in the city.

A British tourist from Manchester, featured in a video published by the prime minister, praised the new terminal’s facilities.

“The terminal is very beautiful, large and well organised. It provides more space for buses, it is clean, has toilets and all the necessary facilities,” she said.
