TIRANA, July 16 /ATA/ As the FIFA World Cup draws to an end and attention focuses on the finalist teams, the National Library of Albania is inviting the public to experience a different kind of competition: “What if the World Cup were held in literature?”
The exhibition highlights some of the greatest authors of world literature, works that have left a lasting mark on cultural history, and classics that continue to inspire generations. Through this initiative, the passion for football is intertwined with a love for books, creating a symbolic championship among the most prominent figures of literature.
Some of the featured titles are works by literary giants such as Shakespeare, Hugo, Cervantes, Borges, Byron and de Beauvoir, among others.
The exhibition is open at the “Sotir Kolea” centre of the National Library of Albania and can be visited until July 20.
The library invites all reading and sports enthusiasts to take part in this cultural experience and discover which author or work would deserve to lift the literary trophy.
