TIRANA, July 15/ATA/ Chairman of the Democratic Party Sali Berisha applauded the anti-dictatorial protests that have been taking place in Tirana for 46 days against the planned Zvërnec tourist investment. It is the duty of every democrat to support this movement with all their might and resources, said Berisha.
Speaking at the meeting of the National Council, Berisha said that, “What is taking place today in the streets and squares of Tirana is a battle for the most just cause that man can have, it is a battle with tyranny.”
“The Democratic Party stands stronger than ever, fueled by over 400 anti-regime protests in just three years. Having exposed the government’s electoral farce worldwide, we have secured the backing of Europe’s most important political organizations and institutions”, emphasized Berisha.
The leader of the DP stated that, “The exposure and official condemnation of the electoral farce by the European Parliament’s Foreign Affairs Committee mark an extraordinary achievement”. /k.s/j.p/p.s./
