TIRANA, Oct 17 /ATA/The Tirana Police Directorate announced today that it had arrested 10 people following investigative and procedural actions carried out by its officers in connection with yesterday’s rally.
Police also initiated criminal proceedings against another 22 people.
According to the police, the individuals were caught throwing stones and other hard objects at officers and the Ministry of Education building, injuring police personnel and damaging both the building and road signs.
Eight police officers were injured during yesterday’s rally. The case files have been referred to the Prosecution Office for follow-up action.
