Second Kosovo Security Force contingent joins Gaza peacekeeping mission

PRISHTINA, July 13 /ATA/ – The second contingent of the Kosovo Security Force (KSF) has joined the International Stabilization Force (ISF), a multinational peacekeeping mission mandated to help stabilise Gaza, the mission announced on Monday.

In a post on X, the Board of Peace, the ISF’s governing body, welcomed the deployment of the latest group of KSF personnel.

The statement said the Kosovo troops would support security efforts in Gaza, with responsibilities focused on logistics and civil affairs.

“The ISF welcomes the newest members of the Kosovo Security Force to the team. They will support the Gaza security effort in areas such as logistics and civil affairs,” the Board of Peace said in a statement on X.

Indonesia, Morocco, Kazakhstan, Kosovo and Albania are the first five countries to have contributed troops to the International Stabilization Force, while Egypt and Jordan have committed to training the Palestinian police.

Security experts say the KSF’s participation in international missions such as the one in Gaza demonstrates the force’s institutional maturity and professional capabilities, positioning Kosovo not only as a beneficiary of international security but also as a contributor to global peace and stability.
