TIRANA, July 13 /ATA/ – Albania strongly condemns Iran’s latest attacks on Gulf Arab states, describing them as blatant disregard of international law and the principles of the UN Charter, Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said on Monday.
In a post on social media platform X, Hoxha said the attacks further escalate tensions, undermine regional stability and pose a serious threat to international peace and security.
Foreign Minister stated that Iran’s continued resort to confrontation, coupled with its failure to engage constructively and in good faith with the United States in efforts to address outstanding concerns, including those related to its nuclear programme, reflects a troubling disregard for dialogue, de-escalation, and the security of the wider region.
“These developments are deeply concerning, but unfortunately not surprising,” Hoxha added.
He noted that that Albania has been and continues to be the target of sustained cyberattacks, influence operations and other hybrid activities that it attributes to Iran, aimed at undermining the country’s institutions and national security.
Hoxha expressed Albania’s firm solidarity with all countries affected by the attacks and reaffirmed its unwavering support for sovereignty, territorial integrity, respect for international law and the peaceful settlement of disputes.
