TIRANA, July 12 /ATA/ General Directorate of Taxes said on Sunday that the first application round under the Fiscal Amnesty programme had concluded successfully, with no anti-money laundering (AML) red flags detected.
According to the tax authority, 62 applications were submitted during the period, with 19 resulting in signed agreements.
The Fiscal Amnesty programme continues to provide businesses with an opportunity for voluntary tax regularisation, exempting participants from field tax audits and offering a preferential tax rate of 5%.
The General Directorate of Taxes said applications will reopen during the periods April 1–15, 2027, and April 1–15, 2028.
The authority encouraged eligible businesses to take advantage of the programme to regularise their operations, saying the initiative is intended to promote a fair and transparent market, strengthen consumer protection, support fair competition and align business practices with European Union standards.
