TIRANA, July 9 /ATA/ German Ambassador Karl Bergner met today with the Ombudsman. He congratulated Endrit Shabani on his new role and praised the institution’s work in protecting human rights, describing it as a contribution to promoting European values.
“The support of our partners helps us in our mission to protect the rights of every citizen, particularly those who have no voice in decision-making. The only path towards Europe is building a fair and inclusive society,“ Shabani said.
The discussion focused on human rights, including the challenges faced by people with disabilities, as well as building a society where no one is left behind, including marginalised communities.
Both sides agreed to further strengthen cooperation in this area.
