PM Rama shares citizen’s message praising government achievements

TIRANA, June 24 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama on Wednesday shared on social media a video accompanied by a message from a citizen who said he has not relied on the Albanian state for his livelihood since 1997.

Rama described it as “one of the many messages from these extraordinary days, surprising in both positive and negative ways, which someone generously posted and another person kindly sent to me.

The song accompanying the video emphasizes that the country is the first thing that comes to mind and that citizens do not see the battles fought behind the scenes, only the spotlight on stage.

In his message, the citizen said he had tried, if only briefly, “to put himself in the Prime Minister’s shoes” in order to understand how reality might look from that position.

“I tried, for a few moments, to walk in the prime minister’s shoes. Not to flatter him. Not to convince anyone. Simply to see how I would view the world from his place. I grew up in an Albania where you could not walk 200 meters without your shoes falling apart,” he said.

The citizen went on to argue that “we would be naive to say that no good things have been done.”
