TIRANA, June 15 /ATA/ The digitalisation of tax services is delivering tangible benefits for citizens and businesses by reducing the time required to obtain documents and eliminating the need for in-person procedures at service counters.
According to data published by the General Directorate of Taxation, during the month of May alone, the five most frequently used tax services on the e-Albania platform saved users a total of 379,139 hours.
The most requested service was the payment certificate, which was used 178,554 times. Meanwhile, certificates confirming the payment of contributions by entities or individuals were generated 146,455 times.
In addition, during May, 25,170 certificates of tax liability payments were issued, along with 22,251 certificates on turnover for the past three years, and 6,709 status certificates (active, passive, including dates).
The tax administration estimates that the use of these online services has eliminated hundreds of thousands of in-person visits to service counters, reducing administrative costs and improving the efficiency of public services.
The digitalisation of tax processes remains one of the key priorities in the modernisation of the public administration, with the aim of providing faster, more transparent, and more accessible services for citizens and businesses.
