TIRANA, October 14 /ATA/ – Minister of Economy and Innovation Delina Ibrahimaj condemned the acts of violence and vandalism that occurred this afternoon at the Ministry building, where protesters set fire to the premises, creating a dangerous situation for public safety and public property.
In a statement on social media, Ibrahimaj described the acts of arson and destruction of institutional premises as unacceptable, emphasizing that—beyond material damage—they endanger the lives of people inside the building and disrupt the institution’s normal operations.
“The burning and destruction of institutional premises are unacceptable acts. Beyond causing material damage, they pose a severe threat to human life and safety, while severely disrupting the institution’s normal operations,” stated Ibrahimaj. She called for calm, appealing to everyone to refrain from violence and any actions that could worsen the situation.
” Public safety and institutional protection must remain an absolute priority under all circumstances,” Ibrahimaj emphasized.
“Public institutions are a shared asset, and damaging them affects everyone. Violence and vandalism have no place in acceptable public action. Respect for the law, public safety, and public property is essential to maintaining order and the common good,” is read in Minister Ibrahimaj’s post. /gj.m/r.e/p.s./
