TIRANA, May 26/ATA/ Following four vibrant days of global music, color, and tradition, the 18th edition of the Aulona Inter Folk Festival concluded in Vlora. The festival cup was ultimately awarded to the Proarchi ensemble from Chile.
According to festival director Sejmen Gjokoli, this edition further solidified the coastal city of Vlora as a true epicenter of world folklore. Expanding its international footprint, this year’s festival welcomed ensembles not only from across Europe, but also from Latin America and Africa—featuring performers from Chile, Poland, Italy, Greece, Georgia, Kosovo, Montenegro, and Burundi, alongside local groups from Vlora and Albania.
Around 350 artists transformed Vlora into a hub of cultural exchange, filling the city with traditional costumes, folk music, and dance. The event served as a colorful celebration of global diversity and international friendship.
As the tourist season kicks off, this festival shines as a spectacular highlight of Vlora Municipality’s cultural calendar.
