TIRANA, May 25/ATA/ Speaking about Durrës Beach today, leader of the Socialist Party, also Prime Minister Edi Rama focused on its remarkable transformation—shifting from an area previously plagued by wastewater pollution to a vibrant hub of continuous urban and tourism growth.
During the event on occasion of the 35th anniversary of the Socialist Party in Durrës, Rama said that Durrës Beach has undergone a profound transformation process, where the expansion of the sand line has been carried out to about 80% of the project, while the second phase is expected to continue, which will expand the beach line by about 100 meters more than before.
The prime minister stated that alongside this intervention, we are partnering with a world-renowned architecture firm to completely regenerate the coastline. By integrating extensive afforestation, our goal is to create a modern, environmentally sustainable space.
“Transforming Durrës and all of Albania takes time, but our work hasn’t paused for a single day. We’ve stumbled along the way, but every challenge has been a lesson that helps us build a better future,” Rama said.
He also stressed that present-day Albania is closer to integration into the European Union and that this process constitutes a major national objective, which, according to him, requires the continuation of reforms and transformational projects in the country. /e.i/r.e/p.s./
