TIRANA, May 10/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama stated today that Albania moves to the final stage of EU accession. The European Commission’s recent report marks a milestone for Albania, signaling readiness to transition from opening to closing accession chapters through intermediate milestones.
During his “Flasim” (Let’s Talk) podcast, Rama focused on the country’s European journey and stated that May 9, Europe Day, found Albania closer than ever to the European Union.
The prime minister emphasized that for the first time after many decades, EU membership is no longer a distant dream; it is a tangible, achievable goal within our reach.
“Negotiations have advanced at a rapid pace”, said Rama.
Further on, he listed some of the country’s transformational reforms in this process.
“Rather than mere words, our comprehensive reforms—from justice and digital services to infrastructure and energy—represent a unified, strategic drive to build the European state of Albanians”, said Rama.
According to the head of government, “May 9 is a proud celebration of our progress. Through continued commitment and will, the peak is finally within reach.” /m.m/a.f/p.s./
