TIRANA, May 7/ATA/ Energy Minister Karakaçi guaranteed that Albania is fully protected against fuel shortages, ensuring total stability of the hydrocarbon market through diversified, secure supply routes.
Speaking in the Parliament, he stressed that the government is working on a new regulations placing the security reserve under direct state management.
“Recognizing energy security as a national priority, the government has adopted a multi-faceted approach, including a dedicated Transparency Board to cap prices and shield consumers,” said Karakaçi.
“To ensure stability, the state has taken over the management of hydrocarbon reserves, fully adhering to the law and with an EU-aligned strategy already in place. We have eliminated supply risks and are conducting on-site inspections for full oversight. Regarding accusations of non-transparency, these are purely political; we have worked closely with all interest groups to ensure this process is open and robust”, said Karakaçi.
He also announced that the plan of measures for urban and interurban public transport will enter into force next week, after consultations with interest groups. /e.xh/j.p/p.s./
