TIRANA, May 7/ATA/ Police detained chef and catering technician and named a third suspect today regarding the poisoning of students at the Security Academy.
Police reported that 56 students from the Security Academy were transported to the Infectious Diseases Department at the “Mother Teresa” University Hospital Center (QSUT) yesterday, suspected of food poisoning following a meal on the premises.
Following medical evaluation and treatment, all students have been discharged from the hospital in good health, and laboratory tests are underway to identify the cause of the poisoning.
The procedural materials were referred to the Prosecutor’s Office for the “food hazardous to health criminal offense. /p.s./
