Rama at European Political Community summit: Time has come to advance unification of Europe

TIRANA, May 4/ATA/ Prime Minister Edi Rama has arrived in Yerevan, Armenia, for the 8th European Political Community summit at the Karen Demirchyan Complex. This high-level gathering brings together 48 heads of state and government, including, for the first time, a non-European participant, Canada.

Prime Minister Rama told reporters that the summit is another valuable venue for uniting on common goals and concerns, fostering further European integration.

Rama emphasized that, “The European Political Community summit is another opportunity to share our common ambitions and concerns”.

“This is a defining moment to advance European unity. To meet security demands, NATO must empower its European members to take the lead in their defense, cementing a more mature transatlantic partnership,” said Rama.

In answer to question on what the Union can offer to countries that want to join, PM Rama said that, “This isn’t about transactional deals for a few nations; it’s about immediate, strategic action to secure the future of the European Union itself”.

“A complete Europe is a stronger Europe; delaying integration only creates unnecessary vulnerabilities”, said Rama.

Further on, Armenian PM Nikol Pashinyan received PM Rama and his delegation. /m.q/j.p/p.s./
