PM Rama: Arbër Road boosts property values, spurs investment in Dibër

TIRANA, April 25 /ATA/ – Prime Minister Edi Rama said on Saturday that the completion of the Arbër Road has significantly increased property values and is driving new investment in northeastern Albania.

Speaking at a meeting of the Socialist Party assembly in Dibër, Rama highlighted the government’s ongoing agenda and the responsibilities stemming from its parliamentary majority. He praised the region’s electoral performance, noting that Dibër ranked among the top four nationwide in terms of results.

Rama described the Arbër Road as a transformative infrastructure project, saying it has shifted from a long-standing promise into a tangible asset already delivering economic impact.

“Property values have risen, land has gained value, and demand for construction-once minimal-is now increasing,” Rama said. “We are also seeing growing interest in investments financed by savings from the Albanian diaspora.”

He added that early demographic trends suggest a potential reversal of migration patterns, citing nearby Berat as an example where returns have begun to outpace departures.

Rama emphasized Dibër’s strategic proximity to Tirana, describing the region as a “green cushion” for the capital, with strong potential in agriculture and rural development sectors.
