FM Hoxha meets Greek business leaders, says Albania open to investment

TIRANA, April 23 /ATA/ – Albania remains an open and increasingly dynamic market for foreign investment, Foreign Minister Ferit Hoxha said on Thursday during talks with representatives of the Union of Greek Businessmen at the Delphi Economic Forum in Athens.

In a post on social media, Hoxha said Albania offers a business-friendly environment and growing opportunities for international investors, highlighting efforts to strengthen economic diplomacy and attract foreign capital.

He said economic and trade relations between Albania and Greece continue to deepen on the basis of mutual benefit and stable cooperation.

Hoxha noted that Greece is currently Albania’s third-largest trading partner and an increasingly important export market, pointing to steady growth in trade exchanges throughout 2025 and the first months of 2026.

He also said Greek investment is on an upward trend, with more than 800 Greek-owned enterprises operating in Albania, particularly in key sectors of the economy and employment.

However, he added that significant untapped potential remains, especially in the context of Albania’s 2030 development outlook, calling for more practical engagement, networking and innovative cooperation.

Hoxha also underlined the role of the Albanian community in Greece as an important economic bridge between the two countries and a factor in strengthening long-term strategic partnership ties.
