TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/ The area of Tale in Lezhë has long been a major tourist destination, which every year is increasingly attracting a growing number of visitors.
The government supported the construction of a modern 6.3 km road linking Rrilë and the Tale pumping station to the Lezhë–Tirana highway, aiming to improve access and boost tourism. The road includes bike lanes, sidewalks, and decorative features.
Prime Minister Edi Rama, accompanied by the Mayor of Lezhë, Pjerin Ndreu, and local residents, visited Lezhë to inspect the newly constructed road. Mayor Ndreu described the infrastructure as one of the most significant projects for advancing tourism in the area. He emphasized that the road not only substantially improves access to Tale and the pumping station but also drives up the value of surrounding properties and shapes a new reality for the local community.
Mayor Pjerin Ndreu highlighted the new 6.3 km, 10‑meter‑wide road with bike lanes and sidewalks as a major boost for tourism in Lezhë. He expressed gratitude for government support, noting that the project has transformed the area beyond recognition, improved access to Tale, and increased the value of surrounding land, creating a new reality for the local community.
Prime Minister Rama proposed further enhancements to the aesthetic elements of the newly constructed road, underscoring the necessity of adding greenery along its length. He emphasized that such improvements are essential to transforming the roadway into a fully developed tourist route.
In parallel with investments in road infrastructure, the implementation of an important project in the water supply and sewerage sector is also underway.
The project encompasses the construction of a new water supply system in Kodër-Marlekaj, designed to serve approximately 5,000 residents, along with the rehabilitation of both stormwater and wastewater networks. Its objective is to tackle the flooding challenges that have affected the area.
