TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/-By Maela Marini/ The Minister of State for Public Administration and Anti-Corruption, Adea Pirdeni, announced today that Albania is recognized by SIGMA as a regional leader in the domain of human resource management. She further emphasized that the public administration continues to attract and be preferred by young professionals.
During the launch of the employment platform, Pirdeni emphasized that the purpose of this mechanism is to ensure the availability of human resources capable of addressing key challenges, including the process of European Union integration.
According to her, the initiative is part of ongoing efforts to strengthen the public administration.
Pirdeni emphasized that the unified employment portal provides every job seeker aspiring to join the public administration with a single, streamlined application window.
“This initiative is among a set of measures we are implementing to fully modernize and reposition the Albanian administration,” said Pirdeni.
According to the Minister, the foremost priority at present is to ensure the requisite human resource capacities to effectively address the challenges associated with Albania’s European Union accession.
“This positions the public administration, on one hand, as a competitive employer in the labor market, capable of attracting the best available talent, and on the other hand, as a major institutional structure responsible for sustaining the negotiation process, which is now proceeding at an accelerated pace,” added Pirdeni.
The Minister focused on public administration reform, highlighting a comprehensive review of the salary system within the administration.
“This measure not only responds to market demands but also positions the public administration as an employer capable of keeping pace with contemporary trends. We are establishing a fair salary system that takes into account the continuous changes in the country’s economic developments,” she stated.
Starting this year, Pirdeni highlighted the introduction of systematic salary adjustments aligned with inflation and stressed that the public administration continues to be a top employment choice for young professionals, featuring the region’s youngest workforce and high applicant competition for each position.
