TIRANA, April 7 /ATA/ Parliament Speaker, Niko Peleshi, held a meeting on Tuesday with Anar Huseynov, Ambassador of Azerbaijan to Albania, and with Murad Heydarov, Executive Director for the Balkans at the State Oil Company.
The meeting focused on the advancement of bilateral cooperation across political, economic, and trade sectors, as well as the intensification of parliamentary collaboration between the two countries.
The interlocutors highlighted the very good relations between Albania and Azerbaijan, emphasizing the importance of further deepening cooperation in strategic sectors, particularly in the energy field.
Special emphasis was placed on the gasification project in the city of Korça, acknowledged as a pivotal initiative for promoting sustainable energy development, reinforcing regional energy security, and catalyzing economic growth.
