TIRANA, March 27 /ATA/ Parliament Speaker, Niko Peleshi, held a meeting on Friday with Anthony Smith, the Executive Director of the Westminster Foundation for Democracy (WFD), shortly before a roundtable discussion on enhancing democratic governance and ground-breaking reform processes.
The meeting highlighted fruitful collaboration between the Parliament and the WFD as a valuable contribution to the modernization of the parliamentary institution.
The discussions focused on enhancing the quality of legislation, improving the effectiveness of parliamentary oversight, and potential contributions to advancing ground-breaking and democratizing reforms in Albania.
“Assistance and cooperation with the WFD are an added value to the process of modernizing the Albanian Parliament, enhancing the quality of legislation, improving the effectiveness of parliamentary oversight, and contributing to the advancement of transformative and democratizing reforms,” emphasized Peleshi in a social media post.
