Police will not guarantee security for opposition rally

TIRANA, February 28 /ATA/ Tirana Police reported that it will not guarantee security for the announced rally of protest by the Democratic Party today at 18:00 in front of the government building.

The police argue that, “Driven by last rally’s violence, the use of weapons against officers, and the alarming participation of masked individuals and minors, this decision aims to prevent a repeat of these safety threats.”

To safeguard public safety and ensure the free movement of traffic and citizens, the police have established a comprehensive security plan for the potential rally.

Police urged citizens to avoid all violent acts. /a.f/p.s./
