TIRANA, Feb 26 /ATA/ The General Director of Customs, Besmir Beja, visited today the Bllatë customs branch to inspect the implementation of the action plan following the diversion of vehicle traffic from the Qafë-Thanë Border Crossing Point to this border crossing point.
Since yesterday, pursuant to the agreement with the Macedonian side, trucks that were unable to pass due to the road situation caused by the closing of the Librazhd-Elbasan route are being processed at Bllatë, significantly increasing the workload at this branch.
“I am glad to note that the procedures have been efficiently processed, despite the increased workload at this customs point. As observed, everything is proceeding smoothly,” stated Beja.
Beja emphasized that Customs Directorate remains steadfast in its commitment to ensuring the uninterrupted flow of goods and the efficient processing of procedures in support of economic operators.
