TIRANA, Feb 18 /ATA/ The Ambassador of Italy to Tirana, Marco Alberti, participated in the VIII Corridor Ministerial, held today in Tirana under the auspices of the Ministry for Europe and Foreign Affairs.
In his remarks, Ambassador Alberti noted that Italy was the driving force behind the Corridor VIII initiative, but now it is time to move from narrative to implementation.
Ambassador Marco Alberti emphasized the need to move Corridor VIII from discussion to action, stressing that it should address three key gaps or needs.
Alberti emphasized the need for tailored, region-specific projects along Corridor VIII, highlighting their importance within the broader infrastructure framework and in the context of global power dynamics.
Alberti stressed that Corridor VIII must be well-financed, synchronized across policies and industry, and supported by both strong economic involvement and political will.
The Italian ambassador emphasized the need for a broader security approach for Corridor VIII, involving public-private cooperation, synchronization, and swift implementation beyond existing physical safeguards.
