TIRANA, February 10/ATA/ During her visit in Washington, Minister for Europe and Foreign Affairs Elisa Spiropali held a meeting, which she described as substantial, with Undersecretary of State for Political Affairs Allison Hooker.
Spiropali wrote in the social media that during the meeting they discussed on issues that directly affect Albania’s interests: security within the NATO, stability in the Western Balkans as well as concrete steps to deepen the economic and strategic partnership between the two countries, a guarantee that Albania’s voice is heard where decisions are made.
“Today, Albania is considered as a trusted ally, which stands by its partners and truly contributes to the security and stability of the region,” Spiropali wrote while she also published moments from the meeting.
“Our partnership is built on substance and shared goals, not mere formality or photo opportunities. It is a relationship built on shared interests, values and responsibilities,” concluded the Albanian chief diplomat.
FM Spiropali visited Washington last week where she held several meetings in the US Congress, which focused on promotion of cooperation between Albania and the US in several dimensions. /p.s./
